Rob McLellan, Senior Assistant Psychologist

Rob McLellan is a Senior Assistant Psychologist and a British Psychological Society (BPS) Graduate Member with several years of experience in neurorehabilitation and mental health services. Throughout various roles as a Therapy/Rehabilitation Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Assistant Case Manager, and more recently as an Assistant Psychologist, he has worked with diverse neurological populations in community clinical settings. He has experience assisting in complex rehabilitation for individuals with degenerative and acquired neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury and perinatal brain injury. Additionally, he has supported neuropsychological work with patients presenting with a range of disorders, including language and communication difficulties, episodic memory impairment, dysexecutive syndrome, as well as some of the rarer neuropsychological syndromes.

As an Assistant Psychologist, he is responsible for supporting neuropsychological assessments and interventions under the close direction of a Practitioner Psychologist. His role includes conducting interviews, administering neuropsychometric tests, contributing to report writing, and implementing a broad range of therapy interventions. These interventions involve guiding families to understand the impact of neurological conditions on behavior, providing elements of cognitive behavior therapy and exposure therapy to help clients overcome trauma, anxiety, and low mood. He also supports the implementation of person-centered care plans tailored to individual needs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy. He is skilled at optimizing processes to enhance time and cost efficiency in clinical work.

As part of his responsibilities, he assists Case Managers, Solicitors, and Clinicians by maintaining comprehensive records that document client progress and ongoing challenges using analytics and trends. He has experience contributing to risk assessments, Initial Needs Assessments, and supporting the delivery of training programs.

With experience as an Assistant Case Manager, he possesses a strong understanding of the litigation process in serious injury claims, the intersection of clinical care, and the importance of clear, comprehensive note-writing while working toward defined clinical goals.

Oliver Reed, Assistant Psychologist

Oliver Reed is a highly motivated Assistant Psychologist and a British Psychological Society (BPS) graduate member with a background in brain injury, complex orthopaedic, and major trauma cases. He has experience assisting with the comprehensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation of individuals with acquired and degenerative neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury and stroke. He has supported the rehabilitation of patients presenting with complex orthopaedic injuries and major trauma, including RTA-related injuries, chronic pain conditions, and post-surgical recovery.

In his role as an Assistant Psychologist, Oliver has worked dynamically across community multidisciplinary team (MDT) settings. He has frequently collaborated with neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and case managers to support the implementation of individually tailored care plans. He has provided a diverse range of interventions across the lifespan to support the cognitive, emotional, and functional recovery of patients. Under the supervision of a Practitioner Psychologist, he has delivered psychological interventions based on the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy, supported patients in understanding the perpetuating and precipitating factors contributing to their difficulties, and helped them implement emotional-regulation strategies.

Oliver has worked with young people and their families, providing support around the systemic impact of neurological conditions and conducting classroom observations to inform comprehensive neuropsychological reports. Additionally, he has first-hand experience supporting Rehabilitation Assistants (RAs) in formulating and delivering behavioural support plans to ensure high standards and continuity of care and intervention implementation.

As an Assistant Psychologist, he is responsible for supporting neuropsychological assessments of various cognitive presentations. His responsibilities include conducting interviews, administering neuropsychometric tests, assisting with report writing, and delivering patient-friendly feedback sessions and ongoing interventions.

Having worked across clinical rehabilitation and medico-legal settings, Oliver has experience in the context of ongoing serious injury litigation. He has a strong understanding of the importance of goal-directed rehabilitation packages and maintains high standards of clinical note-keeping.
