I am a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Practitioner (Clinical) Psychologist with a background in neurorehabilitation across NHS and private inpatient, outpatient, residential and community settings. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, I have completed post-doctoral MSc training in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol and am entered on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN), which is the gold standard for the profession in the UK. I am currently the Clinical Director of Rowley Clinical Neuropsychology Services Ltd, where I lead a team of experienced clinicians who provide treating clinician services in the context of serious and catastrophic injury litigation. I am undertaking the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Witness Certificate, and I provide Part 35 expert witness neuropsychological reports to the court in the area of acquired (particularly traumatic) brain injury. I undertake clinical supervision of qualified clinicians during their clinical neuropsychology training (QiCN or equivalent), and I am an Honorary Clinical Tutor at the University of Bristol. I am a peer reviewer for the Journal of Neuropsychology.
In various roles I have worked across the gamut of acquired and degenerative neurological conditions, spanning the age and severity range. This has involved neuropsychological assessment of the effects of brain injury and neurological illness, risk management, and the development of tailored, person-centred rehabilitation plans. I undertake complex capacity assessments, have worked in the context of Mental Health Act detentions and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and as such I have a working knowledge of these legislative frameworks as
applied to neurological disorders. I also provide supervision and support on care provision for complex clients to multidisciplinary teams and support workers.
