 Dr Benjamin Dawson is a fully qualified and registered Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist specialising in Neuropsychology and Major Trauma, with a background in assessment and neurorehabilitation across NHS and private practice settings. He completed post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology at the universities of Glasgow and Bristol and is entered on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN) as well as the Register of Applied Practice Psychology Supervisors.

Within NHS practice he is the Clinical Lead for Major Trauma Psychology and Traumatic Brain Injury at Salford Royal Hospital, where he leads a team of Clinical Psychologists and Neuropsychologists to deliver neuropsychological and major trauma psychology services. Since 2020, he has operated his own independent practice. He also works for Rowley Clinical Neuropsychology Services Ltd. He is an Honorary Lecturer in Teaching and Research at the University of Manchester and is the external Module Lead for Neuropsychology. He also undertakes clinical supervision of Trainee Clinical Psychologists during their doctoral training, academic supervision of doctoral theses, and supervision of qualified Clinical Psychologists during their clinical neuropsychology training (QiCN).

Within various roles he has provided specialist assessment and intervention across the breadth of neurological conditions. He routinely completes mental capacity assessments and works in environments where deprivation of liberty and mental health act restrictions are required. He has specialist interests in traumatic brain injury, polytrauma, and post-traumatic stress. He provides case supervision and guidance to multidisciplinary teams as well as training and consultation for specific areas of practice.
