Dr. Rogish is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist who has been working in neuropsychology and neuropsychological rehabilitation in the UK for over 20 years. He has worked in several private and NHS/private partnerships during his career. This has included working at the Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Brainkind Neurological Centre York, York House, and Goole Neurorehabilitation Centre, each part of the formerly named Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT). He has also taught at the postgraduate level at the University of Hull in the Doctoral Clinical Psychology program and he currently teaches at the University of York across a number of MSc programmes. Dr. Rogish trained at the University of Florida, and interned at the James A. Hayley Veteran’s Administration Hospital at the National Centre for Brain Injury Rehabilitation. He has undertaken several placements in the USA across a variety of settings including neurorehabilitation, neuropsychology hospital clinics, child developmental disorder assessment and treatment, epilepsy services and cognitive neuroscience. His current research interests include acquired neurological disabilities, the impact of developmental disabilities on family systems, cross cultural neuropsychology and family systems, and the impact of environment and staff support strategies on clinical working conditions.
Having worked in neuropsychological rehabilitation in the UK for over 20 years Dr. Rogish has extensive experience in a variety of acquired, developmental, and degenerative neurological and neuropsychological conditions. He has particularly extensive experience of working with acquired brain injury alongside complex comorbidities such as personality disorder, psychosis, drug and alcohol abuse, behaviours that challenge, and rare neuropsychological phenomenon. Dr. Rogish is a highly experienced clinical lead of Multidisciplinary Teams and regularly undertakes liaison with a wide range of external agencies as is routinely required in complex cases. His work includes experience in the neuropsychological assessment and treatment of acquired neurological conditions and the formulation of interventions that are client centred and informed by a variety of clinical methods. Dr. Rogish specialises in adult assessment and intervention across the age and ability range. This includes the assessment of risk and the formulation and development of person-centred treatment plans. Dr. Rogish has extensive experience in working under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act in clinical settings specialising in neurobehavioural rehabilitation and years of experience in providing supervision and support to clinical multidisciplinary teams.
