Dr. Gina Wieringa is a clinical psychologist with a specialist interest in supporting individuals with neurological conditions. She is currently working toward eligibility for entry onto the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN) of the British Psychological Society (BPS), aiming to deepen her expertise in clinical neuropsychology.
Dr. Wieringa conducts neuropsychological assessments of cognitive functioning to guide and inform therapeutic interventions. Her extensive experience encompasses a range of neurological presentations, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions, and dementia. She values a holistic approach to care, involving the individual’s wider support system to maximize the effectiveness of clinical interventions.
Passionate about advocating for the needs of individuals following brain injuries, Dr. Wieringa is dedicated to facilitating psychological adjustment and promoting well-being. She works across multiple NHS teams in addition to her private practice, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the barriers many individuals face in accessing coordinated care after traumatic brain injuries.
