Dr Siobhan Hurley is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Practitioner (Clinical) Psychologist, with a background in neuropsychological assessments in research and NHS outpatient and community settings. She currently undertakes neuropsychological assessments of adults aged 18–65 within the Northumberland Memory Service, assessing a wide range of conditions including brain injury, stroke, and dementia. She also supports the clinical supervision of Trainee Clinical Psychologists and other Allied Health Professionals within the service.
In both clinical and research settings, Dr Hurley has worked with children, adults, and older adults with a range of acquired and degenerative neurological conditions. She has conducted tailored neuropsychological assessments to help individuals and clinical teams understand the impact of neurological conditions or injuries. Additionally, she has developed comprehensive support plans for individuals and their families, guiding understanding of the psychological impact of such conditions. She has a current interest in how neurodiversity affects cognitive assessments and is developing a training package to support colleagues in delivering neuro-affirming assessments.
